Brunch: The socially acceptable excuse for day drinking.

The Prosocialites recently organized the Charlotte Brunch Festival.

The Queen City’s finest brunch spots assembled under one roof at The Fillmore.

Attendees got to sample from their favorite places while discovering some delicious new fares.

Blackberry and Basil pop tarts from Baked Well and Fried Pepper Jack Grit Balls from Chef Anthony we’re definite favorites!

Uncle D’s Donuts and Hubert’s Lemonade took me back to my childhood summers. My grandmothers kitchen had an unending supply of this snack combo.

We got to make our own mimosa at Jus’ Taste Catering. I also made a mess. I REALLY shouldn’t be allowed to pour my own alcohol…..sorry Jus’ Taste. But it was soooo good!!

The long lines at Caswell Station, The Yolk and Babalu were worth the wait.

Babalu featured an avocado toast that was almost too pretty to eat. I said ALMOST! I love a good avocado toast.

Fahrenheit offered a crowd pleasing Cap’n Crunch pancake. And they made this Diva a bacon free Smoked Gouda Biscuit that was to die for!

I was so excited to see my buddy Chris Soto serving up some of my Flying Biscuit favorites.

If you’ve never had their biscotti you’re not really living your life right!!

Not that you have to save dessert for last (brunch has no rules). A couple of my favs Hey Sugar Shop and King of Pops were there. And I discovered some new sweet spots.

Christine’s Konditorei and Cinnaholic were a treat for my sweet tooth.

Good music, good friends and good food.
